Philippians 4   King James Version (KJV)

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Our purpose is to check on the well-being of members who are sick and shut in by phone, get well cards and visitations. The ministry also comforts the bereaved and provides assistance to the needy with food, clothing and by offering prayers.

Meets on the second Saturday of the month at noon.

We are asking everyone to pray for all of our Sick and Shut-ins

James 5   English Standard Version (ESV)

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Matthew 25   King James Version (KJV)

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

During the pandemic months, the Missionary Ministry continues to be active. The 40 member ministry still meets virtually every second Saturday.

This holiday season we participated in the City Mission Thanksgiving Day meal distribution. Seven individual cars delivered approximately 50 meals to shut-ins on Thanksgiving Day. Also, we donated hams and turkeys to the Son-Rays facility to be given to single moms for the holidays. Those who could not donate the items participated by donating funds to buy them.

Our ongoing relationship with Grace House includes donating baked goods, which will be done on a regular basis as well as provided all the supplies for a spaghetti dinner which they held on Saturday, December 14th for their residents.
