Debra was the fourth of 11 children and a lifelong resident of Buffalo New York. She was educated in
the public-school system and attended PS #6, #8, Woodlawn Junior High and East High School in 1968.
Debra valued education and was the first of her siblings to attend and graduate from college. She
received a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Rosary Hill College (now Daemen College) in 1972; and a
Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1986.
She served in many capacities after completing her formal education. Debra began her career as a

leader/member. Stewardship was not far behind her love of Christian education where she served as a
Trustee for over 20 years. She praised and worshipped faithfully as a choir member. Debra was also an active member of the Decker Street Block Club.
Whether at school, work, church or in her community, Debra established and maintained authentic and
